Hi I'm Michael

I work with the elderly and disabled and am a NCAA basketball referee in the Northwest United States. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a father of three children

Why I am a Mormon

I have always believed that the was good in the world I just didn't know the source. I had been taught the golden rule but that it was optional to follow. I wanted my children to have a better life through better living.I somehow knew that going to church would help them. I met some happy, good people and noticed that they stood for values that I thought I should stand for. I felt it was important for my children to have this example to follow in there lives and not the one I had been giving them. while taking the discussions, I found that I could be a good person too. I found that following Jesus Christ was the the way to lasting happiness. The values I learned from the teachings of the Church Of Jesus Christ and living them makes one a better person. My children are grown now and they have seen the blessings of the Gospel in their lives. My wife and are are extremely grateful to have changed the course of our lives and the course of the lives of our children.

How I live my faith

I am a consultant for seniors, a marketing manager, and an NCAA basketball referee. Being an active member of the church has helped me get through some difficult situations at work though all of the great learning opportunities I have had at church. Through the church, I have gained the courage to speak to crowds and to teach people in personal and group settings. Through the Youth programs of the Church I have helped kids turn into great men and women. I learned how to work better with people as a member of this church and have made friendships that I would never have had.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Michael
I believe we are all here to learn and grow to be as Jesus said, like God. We have to prove to Him and to ourselves that we are worthy to be his sons and daughters, that wight might live with Him. It is not enough to do this for ourselves. I find happiness in helping my family have this same blessing and I am learning to help others too. Show more Show less
