Hi I'm Alan

I'm a husband and father of 6. I'm a software engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 4 sons and 2 daughters. They are all married now and we have 8 grandchildren. I love music. I played several different musical instruments in high school and the bassoon in college. I served a mission for the church in Mexico. I've been intrigued with computers ever since I heard about them, and was fortunate enough to get a degree and a wonderful career working with computers. I enjoy digital photography, travel with my wife, and visiting my children and grandchildren. My wife and I are looking forward to serving a mission together when I retire.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is an integral part of who I am. I love Jesus Christ and each day I try to be more like him. I was raised by loving, righteous parents who also loved the Lord. I have experienced the happiness from serving the Lord and His children. I have also witnessed the sorrow and unhappiness that comes as a result of unrighteous choices. I'm a Mormon because the Lord has witnessed to me that His true church has been restored again to the earth along with the priesthood authority and ordinances needed to return and live with my Heavenly Father along with my family.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the assistant clerk over finances in our ward along with being an instructor in our men's group. Of course, I am also a home teacher and I have 3 wonderful families to visit each month. My wife is the president of the women's group, so i also get to help her with her duties.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Our Heavenly Father is loves us and wants us to return home to live with him. In order to do so, we must be clean and pure. Our savior Jesus Christ makes is possible for us to be forgiven of our mistakes and become clean and pure. Without him, none of us would be able to live again with our Heavenly Father.
