Hi I'm Kristy

I was born and raised in a small Colorado community. I'm the mother of eight...and I love it! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always lived in a small, rural community. After I graduated from college, I came back home to work and began dating my future husband, a former classmate of mine. He was not a member of the church, but converted before we were married. We are the parents of 8 children. I have basically been a stay-at-home mom for my whole married life...and I'm thankful for that opportunity. I substitute teach at the local school. I love to go to auctions, my children's activities and sporting events, and I love to read.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both converts to the church before they were married, so I was born and raised in the church. I have always believed in the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The reason I choose to be a Mormon, is because of the way I feel when I read and study about the gospel...because of the way I feel when I live the way that Jesus Christ taught us to live. I choose to be a Mormon because it makes me happy and it feels so right to me.

How I live my faith

To me, living my faith would include honoring and keeping the commandments of God. When I fall short, I believe in Christ's promises. I believe that through Christ's sacrifice, I can seek forgiveness and repent, and He will forgive me and my sins are remembered no more. I believe living my faith includes being tolerant and forgiving of others. I believe loving all God's children and serving them to the best of my ability is probably one of the greatest ways to live my faith.
