Hi I'm Galen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am soon going to be a Dad! I have a beautifull wife! I am a construction laborer for work. I have many interests that involve the outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, fishing and camping to name a few. I love learning about the World, and all the different creations that are in it mostly marine animals. These I study especially since I have a dream to own a saltwater system. I enjoy learning about politics; as well as all types of financial knowledge. Koi ponds and any kind of yard work is to be enjoyed.

Why I am a Mormon

As a Kid I was raised in the church. As I got older I started to question why I was really attending. As I stopped living the teachings from the church at first I was fine with it, but over the years I started to be weighed down with the stresses of life and felt alone. I challenged some of the beliefs that those around me held, as I did this I started to realize the joy that comes from living a life centered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I then began to read, sincerely the Book of Mormon. As I read from its pages I felt love and joy and felt a relief from the cares of the world. It helped strengthen my knowledge of what Jesus Christ had done for me. The more I learned the more I wanted to share, and it eventually led me to serving a 2 year mission for the church. The gospel has blessed my life more than words can express!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by always being there to help others in need. I feel that service is one of the greatest things that we can give to those around us. When you are helping others it makes your life seem so much simpler. I also have the opportunity to be an Assistant Scoutmaster, I have fun helping the group of boys to learn and develop talents. Helping them understand tools that will help them for the rest of their lives brings happiness into my life. It also helps me understand patience! In the church we also have the opportunity to visit families within the church and share messages about the Savior, Jesus Christ, and how important living a life filled with the Gospel can be. Not only does this help them to build and strengthen their faith, but it allows me to understand the teachings of the Savior and what it all means to me more fully. So in a way, no matter what I do to try and help those around me, I am blessed with a greater understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
