Hi I'm Kristi

I live in the White Mountains of Arizona. I am a Dental Hygienist. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have five children ranging in age from 18 to 8. My favorite thing to do is watch my children and other local kids perform in music, sports, drama, and other activities. I enjoy riding 4-wheelers in the mountains around my home. Spending time with the large extended family that surrounds me also brings joy and peace to my life. I love to work in my yard, but never have enough money to do all the projects that I dream up!! I take walks and look at the yards and byways for any new and grand ideas to implement in my own yard. Fall is my favorite time of year, the most beautiful time of year where I live.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who were already members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As I grew up, I came to realize that the gospel was central in the lives of my parents. I noticed that living the commandments of God helped my parents make wise decisions that effected their lives in a positive way, while other parents who chose not to keep the commandments brought sorrow and pain to their families. I watched my parents devote hours of service in the community, and know that it brought love, devotion, and admiration to our family in return. After going to college and starting my own family, I came to know that what my parents taught me, and the way they lived their lives is what I wanted for my family and myself. The Gospel of Jesus Christ admonishes everyone to love their neighbor, and be kind and helpful to those in need. It also teaches us that families can be united eternally, and that we have a loving Heavenly Father that wants us to return to him. These blessings and knowledge are unique to the Mormon church. It brings peace to my life to know where I came from and that there is a purpose for this life.

How I live my faith

There are many chances to give service in any community. One way I give service is by teaching the young children in my church. We prepare lessons on Sunday, and plan activities to help the kids enjoy each others company while participating in wholesome recreational activities. Helping instill quality characteristics in today's youth is a vital part of our nation's future. The church has programs for all age groups that teach skills and provide fellowship. Being involved with each of these programs helps build relationships with the kids in our community, as well as gaining friendships with other adults.
