Hi I'm Mike

I'm from Arizona. I'm a dad, a grandpa, a doctor and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have five children who all live in Arizona. I love interacting with them and my 19 grandchildren. I retired in 2007 and went to the Philippines with my wife for 18 months where we served as missionaries for the Mormon Church and also helped people get surgeries to repair cleft lips, club feet, burn contractures, and other life changing surgeries. I already spoke Spanish from serving as a missionary in Argentina when I was 19 and that helped me to learn some Tagalog. My wife is an emergency room nurse and I am a general internal medicine doctor. I am working 3 days a week in Sierra Vista Arizona now to help make it possible for my brother in law to serve a medical mission in the Ukraine. Last summer my wife and I served as volunteers with the Navy on "The Mercy" in Indonesia. I love to play tennis and pack in to the Gila Wilderness with my wife on our horses and mules.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and then chose to raise my children as Mormons. My faith in Jesus Christ has been a great strength to me and my family through the ups and downs of life. It has grown stronger from the many opportunities I have had to serve others through the callings I have recieved as a member of the Mormon Church

How I live my faith

I try to follow Jesus' teachings and treat others as I would like them to treat me.
