Hi I'm Richard Marsh

I'm a patent attorney. I'm a husband and a father of three. I live for the weekends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I studied physics and played rugby in college. But more importantly, I met, courted, and married my sweetheart wife at BYU. Our twin sons arrived during my first year of law school and our third son came while I was working for a judge in Washington, D.C. My hobbies include bike riding, skiing, reading, and sports of all sorts. I usually spend my weekends playing with my family and planning short adventures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace I feel inside when I attend church meetings and follow God's counsel. I know that peaceful feeling is from God. I try to follow His instructions because I know God loves me and wants me to be happy. I have seen how He has helped me to become a better person (and a much happier person) when I follow Him.

How I live my faith

We recently moved into the area from another state. We received a very warm welcome and have quickly made new friends. This last year I taught religious lessons to a group of men and later taught Sunday School for a class of 4 year olds. I currently serve by keeping the church records up to date for our congregation. I am also assigned to regularly visit another family in the ward, and they have since become one of our closest friends. I ride the bus to work every day, and use that time to study the scriptures and the words of the living prophets. On Monday nights, we have "Family Home Evening," which is a special time for our family. We sing songs, share spiritual lessons, play games, ride bikes to the park, or make a special treat together.
