Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a family man. I enjoy helping others in the work I do and in my personal life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a regular guy. We are a family of 5, me, my wife, and 3 kids. I work hard to keep them healthy and happy. We stay busy with projects around the house like painting and yard work. There's also homework projects and activities like Cub Scouts and church responsibilities. We like to read together, swim in our pool, and go camping. I work as a clinical director of a mental health clinic. At my clinic we serve the special population of seriously mentally ill. My job is taxing but rewarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon and I live the way I do because it makes me happy. Knowing that we have a father in heaven who loves us, that Jesus has made it possible to return to Him, and knowing that my family can be together forever makes me happy! I've lost loved ones and I know I'll see them again someday. I have my fair share of challenges but I know that as I keep doing my best I'm watched over by a loving God. I know I am guided in my daily tasks by my Father in Heaven. I'm a life long member of the church. I continue to love the church and live the gospel of Jesus Christ because it helps me keep my life on the path of happiness. I want the same for my children and loved ones.

How I live my faith

I have worked in several capacities within the church. Currently, I lead the singing in our Sunday worship services. I also sing in the choir. Perhaps most rewarding to me now is my work with the Cub Scouts as a Webelos leader. I hold den meetings at my home twice a month and teach 10-11 year old boys exciting things like science, outdoor skills, music and art. I love to see them have fun together and find interest in things that they may not discover on their own. My oldest son is in my Webelos den. It's a great way to be involved with him and his friends. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Charter Organization for our Cub Scout Pack. Even though our pack is predominantly Mormon, boys have invited their friends from school that are not members of the church to join our pack and participate with us.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Ryan
The family is the foundation for the future. I see my family as a testing ground for the future growth of our children. We laugh and cry together. We talk about fun and hard things. We work and play together. All of this is experience for how our children will grow and tackle the similar things in in their adult life. The family is important to Mormon's because we believe that these ties are everlasting. As we create strong ties here we can enjoy the strength of those ties forever. Show more Show less
