Hi I'm James

I grew up in Northern Arizona in Tuba City on the Navajo reservation. I love being a first time Dad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Tuba City AZ on the Navajo reservation. I served in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission. After my mission I went to Eastern Arizona College and then Arizona State University. I got married a little over two years ago and had my first child 4 months ago... a little girl. I love to play all kinds of sports, particularly basketball, baseball, and football. I love to go on dates with my wife, and watch movies together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness that it brings into my life. I have a better understanding of this life and the life I have to look forward to. Being a Mormon gives me hope and motivation to live each day and have a better perspective on things. Being Mormon helps me to be close to Christ and have a strong relationship with him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday and being actively involved. In the ward/congregation that I'm in, I am assigned to help with the youth, in particluar the 14 to 17 year old boys. I meet at least twice a week with the young men, including Sundays, to work on various aspects of their lives such as learning how to grow closer to Christ, how to be respectful, how to budget, be prepared, etc. I pray every day. I also ready my scriptures every day.
