Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a husband, a father, a CPA, a triple citizen, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a thinker. I love the outdoors. I love the mountains and the beach. A few things I enjoy include spending time with my wife and children, road cycling, individual liberty, learning new things, and questioning things.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm still young and have many things to learn; however, one thing that I've learned in recent years is that keeping a healthy balance between work, family, Church/God, and self is key to finding fulfillment in life. I continue to believe in and try to follow the teachings of our Savior Jesus Christ because I believe they offer the greatest likelihood of finding and experiencing real happiness in this life. My daily manna is maintaining a daily connection with Heavenly Father through prayer, thought, and scripture study.

How I live my faith

I firmly believe that to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ I need to not compartmentalize my life, but rather be who I am in all situations and not compromise on principles. I also strive to make decisions on a daily basis (particularly the apparently less significant ones) so that at the end of the day I don't have any regrets about how I exercised my faith. Currently, my participation in my Church involves assisting with the Scouting program. I get satisfaction from observing today's youth in the Scouting program seeking wholesome activities and staying out of the kinds of problems that plague our young society.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

In my experience and observations, the official position of the Church is to not take a position on political matters. When it comes to matters of morality, I believe religious organizations should take a position, as does the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The message of Jesus Christ is synonymous with individual liberty/freedom and helps me decipher "principles" from the "issues", which is something that political conversations should differentiate these days among citizens, although they are not.
