Hi I'm Brian

I'm a Mormon. I and my family became "Mormon" in 1984. I'm an amateur astronomer, and like to view the moon, planets, and nebulas.

About Me

I and my wife are retired. I worked for 30 years as a photographer and computer graphics designer for a university in Illinois. We have moved to Arizona to be close to our daughter's family, and care for our grandchildren. I like to do astronomy and the Arizona skies are good for this. I also build and fly control-line model airplanes (old school), and throw boomerangs.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church because, after I had read the Book of Mormon (1984), I took Moroni's challenge in Moroni 10:4, and knelt in prayer to ask Heavenly Father if what I had learned was true. I received a powerful witness through the Holy Ghost that it was true, and I have grown in understanding of the Gospel and the importance of the Savior ever since. Living the Gospel has brought me more joy and peace in my life, and my wife's, than any other experience.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a Bishop in my current Ward (congregation). I also serve as a volunteer in my HOA, and volunteer in the COPS (Citizen's on Patrol) with the local Sheriff's Office

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is our Father in Heaven, He has a body of flesh and bone. His Son, Jesus Christ also has a body of flesh and bone. Christ atoned for our sins, and His atonement allows us to return to our Father, if we accept Him as our Savior. Show more Show less
