Hi I'm Brittany

I'm in College, I love animals, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One of my talents is playing musical instruments. I enjoy learning different ones. I have played piano for 11 years. I also play oboe which is my main instrument, but I enjoy learning and playing other ones. My favorite outdoor activities are TENNIS and BOATING!! I LOVE Tennis and being out on water, especially tubing and wakeboarding. Im also really into animals, specifically dogs. I foster for our local humane society, take in a set of puppies/dogs and take care of them for a month at a time. My family has taken care of all sorts of situations from new born to amputees. I'm currently majoring in Animal Science.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church so i always just assumed it was true. My real testimony booster was when my stake youth group went from Colorado to Missouri, Nauvoo Illinois, and Far West. All the church historical sites. It was fun to be with friends and the 14 hour bus rides could get a little crazy, but visiting the sites was unforgettable. The winter Quarters Temple and cemetary were truly spectacular. Thats where we had our testimony meeting and the spirit was amazing. I could feel the spirit so strong as person after person, peers and other youth, got up to share why they were members of the church. I felt and overwhelming sense of love and gratitude. Especially a sense of family togethorness. I was able to to do baptisms for the dead in the Nauvoo Temple with my Dad, my bishop, and it was indescribable the joy and happiness felt there. I am a Mormon because I know and have felt the spirit testify to me of the truthfulness of the gospel and from my family, the best people I know.

How I live my faith

I am currently in early morning seminary. I wake up at 5 to get to church at 6 AM for church class until 6:45 which I then go to school afterwards. It may be tough, but its wonderful. Its great to be able to get a good start today. keep the savior in mind as I go to School I partcipate in my Young Woman activities and go to the activities which are really fun!! and Its great to invite nonmember friends to these activities! I keep in mind the 6 P's to happiness I created... 1) Patient - things will work out in the end 2) Peacemaker - by keeping the peace, you keep the happiness 3) Perservere - when the going gets tough, the tough get going! 4) Positive - there is always something good in every situation. find it! 5) Play - do something you enjoy. play a sport. play an insrutment. 6) Pray - God knows, talk to him
