Hi I'm Vikki

I'm a mother of four, I love working with kids, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have four great kids that keep us busy. I love to travel, especially to the beach or theme parks. I like reading mystery novels and magazines. I like anything to do with water -- being in, under, and on it. I like Christmas, ice cream, and music.

Why I am a Mormon

I find my faith is an anchor -- not the kind that weighs you down, but the type helps hold you in a steady place while storms rage all around. I've been a member of the Church all my life, but my testimony still grows as I learn. Even being raised in the Church, I still have to make a personal decision to follow it as an independent adult. I find great comfort in understanding how the Savior's Atonement and sacrifice work in my life. I read the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon -- both help me learn about Jesus Christ and I'm grateful to have the additional, clearer revelations from the Book of Mormon. I'm glad I know what God's plan for us here on earth is, especially how families fit in. Knowing that a family can be together forever is of great comfort to me -- I love my family, and I can't imagine not being with them always.

How I live my faith

I love working with kids in Primary at church! I don't think you truly understand a gospel principle until you know it well enough to explain to 5-year-olds! I get such joy from seeing them learn -- and I learn from them. I enjoy helping at my children's school, too. I often help with reading and it reinforces how important reading is for all of us. I help the PTSO and booster groups to support the schools and teachers in their efforts to educate our city's children.
