Hi I'm Crystal.

I married my best friend in the temple 10 years ago. We have two amazing little boys. We are a forever family and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a friend, a student, and a teacher. And I am a mormon. I do a little of everything for everyone I can... I carpool. I cook. I clean. I launder (though not well), I teach preschool. I volunteer in my children's classes. I teach the 16-18 year old young women. I visit some very wonderful sisters in my ward. I dog-sit,baby-sit, and house-sit. I bake for neighbors. I craft with my sisters. I read. And sometimes I even sleep a little!

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about the church when I was 16 years old. My family invited the missionaries into our home in May of 1997. I noticed a change in our family after just one visit. I couldn't wait to meet with the missionaries again and feel the spirit they brought with them. With each principle they taught I began changing my behavior and dress. I found that by following the principles I was being taught, I felt joy, confidence, and peace. For the first time... I felt the spirit. I began taking seminary classes and reading the scriptures every chance I had. I knew that I wanted to enjoy the blessings of the temple in my own life. I wanted to keep myself temporally and morally clean so that I would be worthy to be in such a sacred and holy place. I know that if I keep the covenants I've made in the holy temple that my family can be forever! I know that by teaching my children while they are young how to respect themselves and those around them that they too can enter the house of the Lord. I continue to learn and grow in the gosple because I know that this is the path that will lead me home to my father in heaven.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a visiting teacher. Some of the best service opportunities have come to me through this calling. I have learned of the love our Father has for those I serve. I have found some of my very best friends through this program as well! I am also serving in the Young Women's program as a laurel advisor. I teach the 16-18 year old young women on Sunday as well as fun and wholesome activities each Wednesday. I am constantly reminded of the strength and valor of the young women. In serving them I am reminded of the changes the Church made for me at their age and I try to help them progress and grow and to help create in them a desire to attend them temple themselves one day! I am a firm believer in teaching by example and so I live the gosple in my own life... in my own home... so that the girls I serve can see the blessings I now have because of my faith and obedience.
