Hi I'm Lynn

I write song lyrics for the pop music industry. I write and edit books. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man from the Mediterranean area. We hope to have children someday, but are currently struggling with our fertility. We hope and pray that in vitro will bring us the children we want so badly. If not, we will prayerfully consider adoption. We know God loves us and will help us find the children He wants us to raise, so we are not afraid. But everyone who has ever struggled with fertility knows what a difficult experience it can be. How grateful we are for the peace we find in attending this church! Besides my career with songwriting, I love to cook. My husband and I love the ocean and the orca whales of Puget Sound. We cannot imagine a more beautiful place than Western Washington. We love it here!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the LDS church, and have been a Mormon my entire life. I come from a large family (six boys and myself and two parents). Yes, I was the only girl, growing up. We've had our ups and downs as a family, but there's no question that the happiness we enjoy in our lives and the closeness we share as a family all stem from belonging to the Mormon church. Jesus Christ's teachings are taught more fully and more completely than in any other Christian Church. My husband is a convert to the church. One of our greatest joys as a married couple is planning our family and the fun it will be raising our children in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We love our congregation here in Whatcom County. The people are amazing. No matter where you go, the Mormon church is the same with the same teachings and the same wonderful kinds of people to welcome you. Besides the wonderful people, my husband and I are members because of the deep testimonies we have of the truthfulness of what is taught in this church. We have both come to know Jesus Christ and understand His words. This fills us with peace and happiness in everyday life. It helps us be calm about our future. And it fills our lives with love. Isn't peace and happiness and assurance about the future what we are all looking for? It is found in Jesus Christ. The Mormon church shows us how.

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures every day, even if only for a few minutes. I think about it throughout the day, however. I pray each day as well. My husband and I pray together and talk about Jesus Christ and church and enjoy a happy marriage, filled with love and respect and learning to help and strengthen each other. We go to church each Sunday, where I sometimes teach a class. I am also a supervisor over some of the women, who are organized into pairs that go visit the other women in the congregation each month. The visits are not just fun and social, but also include a brief message of hope and an offer of help and caring concern. These visitors report back to me, so I know how each woman in the congregation is doing, so I can make sure we are helping and taking care of those among us. We also often organize as women to serve and provide relief to those who do not belong to our church, both in our own community and abroad. I am able to do so much as a member of this church and a woman in helping improve the conditions of this world! I am grateful for the chance to make a difference in other people's lives and to have so many friends to bless and help me, as well.
