Hi I'm Jacob
On Sundays, I bake cookies for friends and family. I'm a Mormon.
I'm a geek. My parents have photos of me in diapers trying to use a computer. I've learned more about computers since the diaper days and now I'm a computer engineer working for a large green energy company. I recently became a dad, and hope to be able to teach my son about what it means to be a geek.
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up in a Mormon family. When I was about 10 years old, I found a copy of the Book of Mormon on audio cassette. I started listening to them and was impressed, even at the young age, with what I heard. I carried that tape recorder around with me all day long, because all I wanted to do was to hear more. The connection I had with the Book of Mormon stayed with me, but intensified when I was about 16 and made daily study of the Book of Mormon a part of my life. As an adult, the Book of Mormon inspires me to seek the guidance of my Heavenly Father as I continue to grow with my family.
How I live my faith
I am an 11 year old scout leader. I enjoy spending time with the youth and try to include gospel teachings with my regular scouting lessons.
