Hi I'm Annalisa

I am a college student crazy about health, traveling, and basurk youtube videos! I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a sophmore in college now! However I am putting school on hold as I am about to embark on my 18 month journey to Brazil to serve a mission. I am insanely excited and nervous to travel to another culture by myself for the first time! At the same time I am fulfilling my dream to go and see the world. Brazil is my first stop. There are so many bright and beautiful places out there dying to be explored! In school I am majoring in health care administration with a minor in Latin American languages (Spanish and Portuguese). I believe in doing my absolute best in school. There is a quote I love to go by: "If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing well." My family is large (mediocre by Mormon standards) with 9 kids, of which I am the youngest. I can't wait to be with them forever, and I really can't wait to help others stay with their families forever as I begin to preach the light of the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Mormon family, and was fortunate to learn and grow within the gospel. Until high school I depended on my parents' testimonies. In high school, I decided to read the Book of Mormon for myself, pray, ponder, and hopefully receive a witness of its truth. The answer did not come immediately. It was through various experiences that i came to know of the gospel's surety. I have received blessings, comfort, and revelation that have helped me progress in life. I cannot deny the hand of the Lord in my life, or the truthfulness of this gospel that has led me to him. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it testifies of Christ, and that he suffered and died for us. He loves us, and I love him. The gospel brings a happiness and joy unobtainable through any other means. It gives me purpose and hope when all else fails. I am a Mormon because this gospel brings me joy that can last for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith hour by hour, day by day. It is not the big decisions that matter so much as the small ones that build up day by day. I want to make the best decision available, not the good or mediocre. When an opportunity to serve or share my faith, I seize it. Making these small, conscientious decisions has helped me build faith to follow the Holy Spirit's promptings to serve a mission. There I can realize the Lord's call to gather and feed his sheep. This is his greatest work.
