Hi I'm Michael

I was born in Texas. I'm a firefighter/paramedic. I love to cook, clean, and eat! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to an amazing woman who loves me despite my faults. We are just as in love now (if not more!) than the day we were married. We have been blessed with a little girl who brings us more joy than words can describe. I attended college for a couple of years and found that the fire service was the best fit for me. I work on the fire engine and the ambulance. I get to help people when they are having a bad day and try to bring a little bit of light into their lives. I like to fish, travel, and spend time with my family. We get together with family frequently to enjoy their company and eat! Cooking is a big part of our family. My wife loves to bake, and I love to fire up the grill. With those two powers combined, we are happy people. I love water sports like boating, skiing, and wakeboarding. Oh yeah, I play the bagpipes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of this church. I was blessed to have two parents who love me and taught me right from wrong. When I was about to leave on my two year mission, I decided to really know for myself that I was doing the right thing and not just going through the motions. I was able to pray like I've never prayed before and get an answer like I've never received before that this, indeed, was what I should be doing. I know Heavenly Father wants us happy. What father wouldn't?

How I live my faith

I live my faith by treating my wife with love and respect. I choose not to swear, drink alcohol, or use tobacco. I get to visit with members from my church frequently in their homes and discuss topics of great worth like scriptures, family, school, and video games! I love teaching lessons at church and share some of those lessons with fellow firefighters who are having difficult times. I get to share with them that, once again, Heavenly Father wants us to be happy.
