Hi I'm Brittan

I play the violin and the viola. I enjoy performing fiddle tunes with my family. I work as a Business Analyst. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. I am now working as a Business Analyst for an IT firm. I have been married to my wife for just over two years. My hobbies include playing the violin/viola with my family. As a family we often perform for weddings, meetings, or other special occasions. We love to play quartet music and fiddle tunes. My wife is from Japan and so we love anything from Japan. Food, music, cartoons, games; you name it, we love it! We try to visit her family in Japan as frequently as possible. Having the ability to speak both Japanese and English in our home is a great blessing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because of the peace and happiness it brings into my home and into my life. I grew up a member of the church, but there came a day when I questioned my beliefs. I believed the church was true, but having always had many wonderful friends from many different faiths, I often wondered what really set my beliefs apart from theirs. I attended my religious courses, was active in my church callings and activities, and studied from the scriptures. The day came though, when I made a resolution to find out if my beliefs were true. I prayed, and I prayed. I never had an earth-shattering experience to confirm my beliefs, but I recall an occasion when I was sitting at a church activity watching a presentation about the savior. In my heart I had an amazing feeling. It felt like I was seeing my family after being away for a long time. It felt like hugging a loved one who I hadn't seen in ages. It was a peaceful, happy, and somewhat nostalgic feeling. The words "I know you, and I love you," came to my head as a thought. After that experience, I knew the savior loved me and was happy with the righteous decisions in my life. I went on serve a mission to share that testimony.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example to those around me, and by sharing my experiences with the younger generation. I am a Bear Den Leader in the Cub Scouts of America, I teach a Sunday School class to an energetic group of 9 year-old's, and I am an active participant in our local church choir.
