Hi I'm Courtney.

I'm a wife, mom-to-be, and a Speech-Language Pathologist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have my Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and enjoy working with young children to help them learn to communicate better. I love water-skiing, reading, sewing, and sports...especially college football! I enjoy spending time with my family talking, eating good food, and going fun places. I don't last too long at any activity without music playing in the background. I'm going to be a mom and can't wait for that stage of my life to start!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up attending church each week and made the decision to be baptized at 8 years old. My belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ started when I was very young and has continued to grow and strengthen as I've read the Bible and the Book of Mormon and prayed about their truthfulness for myself. Believing in Jesus Christ and His gospel gives me a source of comfort to turn to during trying times, and a Greater Being to express my gratitude to for life's blessings. The gospel has been a source of strength for me as I have experienced the death of close family members and friends because I know what happens and where we go after death. I know I will see my loved ones again as we return to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know we can pray to our Heavenly Father for guidance. I know a living prophet is on the earth today. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ can provide greater lasting happiness than any material comfort. I know we have a Father in Heaven who loves us and wants what's best for us. All of these things I have learned, and know because of my membership in The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church each week. I don't currently serve in any major capacity, but I support other church members as they serve. I have served with the young children in my ward, and have enjoyed visiting and being visited by other women from our local congregation. I make an effort to pray and read my scriptures daily. I try to treat others as I would like to be treated. I know I am not perfect, and that I have lots of room for improvement, but I try to live each and every day as Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ would have me do.
