Hi I'm Andrea

I have been married for sixteen years. I have two children. I am an attorney and just opened my own law practice. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the sixth of fifteen children. I was raised in California where I met my husband. We have been married for sixteen years and have two teenage children. I went back to school to complete my bachelor's degree once both of my children were in school full-time. I then went on to law school while my husband was in his medical residency. After law school, I worked as a prosecutor for the District Attorney's office for a few years. Just over a year ago, I opened my own law practice and currently work as a criminal defense attorney. I love the flexibility of my own practice, which allows me to spend more time with my family. In my spare time I enjoy reading and love to run. Currently, my husband and I are training for a sprint triathlon. I'm excited to see what I can accomplish.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by two parents who were both active members of the church. While I always went to church growing up, I truly gained a testimony of the gospel when I was a teenager. I wanted to know for myself whether the things I had always been taught were true. I spent several months studying the Book of Mormon. During that time, I felt the spirit strongly. I remember when I finished reading the book that I knelt to pray. It seemed as though the minute I began to pray, I was overwhelmed with the spirit, and I knew it was true. Since that time, my testimony of the gospel has increased as I have continued to study and live the gospel. I was married in the Salt Lake Temple to my husband over sixteen years ago. It was the best decision I have ever made. As time has passed, and we have raised our two children, I have seen and felt the presence of the spirit in my life. I know I have been richly blessed by a Heavenly Father who knows and loves me. I know that the Savior came to this earth, that He lived a perfect life, that He was crucified, and that He was ultimately resurrected. I know that He lives today, that He loves me, and that He wants me to be happy. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ, I know I can be with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

As an attorney, I have the opportunity to interact with different people everyday. I am able to help people as they struggle through what can often be a very difficult and overwhelming experience in their lives. I find my job to be very rewarding. Within the church, I teach women the principles of the gospel. Although I have served in several areas of the church, I have loved teaching the very most. I have taught young children, teenagers, married couples and now women. Through teaching, I am able to study the principles of the gospel in depth and hopefully help others to more fully understand and appreciate those same principles. The most important thing I do, however, is within my home. I love being a mother and teaching my own children. They are such an amazing blessing in my life. Together with my husband, we try to make our home a peaceful and happy place where the gospel is taught and the Holy Ghost is felt.
