Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a Mormon. I substitute at my daughter's school. I love to read, travel and go to my kids activities.

About Me

I have a great husband and three kids. We are involved with the high school band boosters, volleyball games, cross country, and wrestling. I like to play the violin with my daughter. I am in a book club and love to go to the movies. As a child I travelled a lot with my parents following my dad's engineering job. I have fond memories of living in Australia and New Zealand. I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful for my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It has strengthened my testimony of Jesus Christ and the incredible gifts of the atonement and ressurrection. I know that when I have struggles I can pray to my Heavenly Father and receive guidance on what to do. I can be forgiven for my wrongdoings. I have felt the Holy Ghost help my make important decisions as well as little issues in my life. I love that I know that I can be with my family forever - not just for this life. I know that this church was restored in its fullness from when Christ was on the Earth. I love to read the King James Bible and also the Book of Mormon. They are both powerful witnesses of eachother in testifying of the divinity and life of my savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have worked a lot with the children's group in my congregation. I also have worked extensively with the Cub Scout Program, which my church sponsors. I've been a den leader, cubmaster, committee chair, and now a unit commissioner. I enjoy seeing the growth of the children - both boys and girls as they learn of Christ's teachings and how they can choose the right. I also am involved with a program with the women where we visit eachother each month to make sure that they are doing well. If there are problems we try to help eachother. I feel that this program is inspired and is just what Christ would do if he were on the Earth now.
