Hi I'm Brian

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired, the father of 7 children and 21 grandchildren. I was very active in sports of all kinds and now mainly play tennis. We also enjoy traveling. Most of our time deals with family and volunteer organizations.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ offers me a way of life that truly brings joy and has helped us in raising our family. It is wonderful to have such solid and consistent truths that we can rely on to guide our family. The Church is really family oriented because that is the same pattern that our Heavenly Father has established in His heavenly home. I truly believe Heaven is an extension of the ideal home. Following the standards the Church teaches has helped our children find peace and security in a world where those attributes are hard to find. I find as I follow my Savior Jesus Christ's example, my life is fulfilling and purposeful. In the Church we have many opportunities to serve others, because as a lay ministry we are all called on to teach and help each other. The Gospel also helps us to understand our relationship to our Father in Heaven and what he wants us to become. I am grateful for the direction and personal revelation that I am entitled to as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and am blessed to belong to His church that is led by His apostles and prophets through which God reveals his will to us today.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in the Church. I have spent many years working with the youth in scouting, sports, drama, music, leadership and spiritual training. I am sure I have learned more from these opportunities than the youth did, but I really enjoyed our friendships we developed. I served as a missionary in Germany which was a real growing experience for me, More recently I have served as a Bishop and help with training other church members about some of the administrative functions in the Church. I have found there are many ways the Lord's asks us to us our talents and He gives us many opportunities to develop more. It assignment I have had have been very satisfying and rewarding.
