Hi I'm Lynne

I'm a mother of 6 and a grandmother of 6. I'm a retired software engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Lexington Kentucky, but have lived most of my life in Colorado and I love it here. I went back to college as a single mom with 5 children and earned a degree in Computer Science. I am now retired from testing software and automating testing. I like to ski, bike ride, walk, read, cook and be with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I love the peace and joy and happiness that it brings into my life! My testimony grew slowly as I grew up in the church. I prayed and fasted for many years for my own testimony before Heavenly Father helped me know that I already knew the church was true. Life is full of trials and hard times. The gospel gives meaning to my life and helps me be happy in spite of the bad times. I can't imagine going through life without it!

How I live my faith

I love serving others! I have served as a teacher in the early morning seminary program of the church, taught children and adult classes, played the piano and organ, etc. Early morning seminary is classes for high school students that meet before school starts around 6am. I am amazed by the the young men and women that were willing to get up early to learn and talk about the gospel and I learned to love them dearly! I currently lead a support group for women who have loved ones with addictions or other behavioral problems. We support each other and learn to trust God and rely on the atonement of Jesus Christ. I have learned so much and grown closer to my Savior by attending support groups!
