Hi I'm Brooke.

I am a wife, a mother and a student. I love music. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Nebraska and have lived here ever since. I am the youngest of four children and have the most amazing parents. I grew up in a very musical home where we sang and played instruments as a family. This bond that we all shared with one another united us as a family, and brought us together during the good times and the hard times. I am now a young wife and mother experiencing my own journey as an adult. I am currently a music major pursuing a bachelor's degree in Music Education. Although life is busy and sometimes a little crazy, I have loved every minute of it. I am grateful for my husband, my precious son and for all the other members of my wonderful family!

Why I am a Mormon

My family joined this church generations ago. My ancestors walked the Mormon Trail as saints of God, devoted to their journey as pioneers and steadfast in their faith of Jesus Christ. Because of these family members and their choices to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I was fortunate enough to be born and raised as a Mormon. But I know that my conversion to this Gospel took place within my own heart. The example of my family members helped pave the way to my own testimony of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, but my personal conversion was a simple, yet life changing process that has impacted my life forever. I am a Mormon because I have watched this Gospel enrich my life in ways that I cannot ignore. I am who I am today because of my choice to serve God and to follow His commandments. My decision to apply these values and morals to my own life have saved me from potential darkness and regret. I know that Jesus Christ lives and I know with all of my heart that Heavenly Father loves me. This Gospel is the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, and because of that, I am happy.

How I live my faith

There are many opportunities for me to live my faith. I have a church calling that enables me to assist in the well being of the women in our church. Everyday I am given an opportunity to help people in need and through this service, I know that I am being blessed. It strengthens my testimony of Jesus Christ and his perfect example of charity and love towards others. I also strive to live my faith outside of the church setting. The majority of my friends are not Mormon, and even though we have lots in common, they know that there are activities that I choose not to participate in. They understand this about me and generally respect my "different" lifestyle. I know that I can still live my faith despite differences I might have with friends, and living by example is the easiest way to show my faith in God's teachings.
