Hi I'm Katie

I'm a Mom, I'm a wife, I'm a dental hygienist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mother of a one year old daughter and being a Mom is one of my favorite things to do. I am married to the most amazing guy who treats me and our little girl like princesses. I graduated from Northern Arizona University and now work as a dental hygienist at a pediatric dental office. I love working with children. In my spare time I love to read and hang out with my family doing fun things such as hiking, going to the lake and skiing.

Why I am a Mormon

My life is blessed beyond belief by being a member of the Church and following Christ's example. This gospel brings so much joy to my life and I can say I am truly happy. In a world full of turmoil that's a pretty tough thing for people to say. I know that Christ atoned for our sins so that we can live with him and our families eternally in heaven. I am so grateful for my knowledge of eternal families because I love my family so dearly. I know that through the Book of Mormon you can find answers to life's questions and peace. I have prayed to know that Joseph Smith is a prophet and have felt that overwhelming feeling of peace and comfort that he did restore this church and translate the Book of Mormon. I know that the Lord answers every one of our prayers but it is not always on our time and in the way we want it to. However, he is always mindful of us and will help us through any trial we have. I'm grateful for this gospel in my life and the direction is gives me and my family.

How I live my faith

I get to work with the young women ages 12-18 and teach them principles of the gospel on Sunday. I also get to do a fun activity every Wednesday night with them. It is so amazing to work with the youth and see their examples. I also get to visit three ladies in my church every month with another lady and we get to make sure everything is going well with their families-it's called visiting teaching. It is a way that the church makes sure everybody is being cared for. It is fun to get to know ladies that go to my church and live close to me. Doing this service makes me happy and helps me forget myself and my own cares and worries.
