Hi I'm Kathy

I grew up in Denver and joined the church when I was 19. yrs. old. I love being a wife, mother, grandmother and entrepreneur!

About Me

I have been married 39 years and love life and love my family. I love to be busy and be creative and be outdoors! I love that I am a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 10 and can play, ride bikes, hike and have big family dinners and celebrate with our family. I enjoy exercising and skiing and traveling. I love to cook and read! With my interest in decorating and celebrating holidays, I started a business with one of my dear friends. At the time we had 8 children between us and we were looking for a way to make some extra money and still stay at home with my young children. We are still in business and close friends after 30 years. Our business of holiday boutiques have provided many women an opportunity to have home-based businesses and be able to sell their arts & crafts and still raise their families while working from home. I love that I am a wife, mother, grandmother and a businesswoman.

Why I am a Mormon

I dated my husband in high school and we became high school sweethearts! He was a Mormon and I was Catholic. We shared the same values and I learned what Mormonism really stands for. I joined the church my freshman year of college and knew that when we married, Iwe wanted to be married forever. I know that I can be with my family for eternity because of the eternal plan of salvation if I live a righteous life. I think it is so important that mormonism teaches honesty and other virtues. We are taught to stand for what we believe in and that all things should be taught in our homes. I know that I can be forgiven if I make a mistake and pick myself up to start over again. I kinow that Christ gave up his life for my shortcomings and I am so grateful for my Savior.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example in the way I live my life. I attend church weekly and love to be active in my church and volunteer in many organizations. I have worked most often with the children in our church and I loved being involved with them. I was able to organized and teach in a Sunday School setting weekly. I have a strong conviction of how important it is to make each child feel good about themselves and to know that they are a "child of God." When you know you are a child of God, your conviction to live righteously is strengthen for your entire life. I am now involved in monthly community service projects around my community. I have organized preparing meals for our Ronald McDonald house and doing service at the house cleaning. I have organized making fleece quilts and toy packets for our local sheriff department's victim assistance program in which the officers keep the blanket packets in their cars and when they have to remove children from homesthey have some comfort to provide them with. We planted flowers at local nursing homes, hospitals, we made holiday cards & treats for hospitals, planned programs at senior homes. I love giving community service! This is living my faith in action!
