Hi I'm Owen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 6 children and 8 grandchildren. I worked for 30 years in the broadcast industry on the technical side first as a broadcast engineer, then as the director of IT. I enjoy Tai Chi and Chi Kung, We love doing things as a family especially sports and games. We also love hiking and sharing learned newly learned things with each other.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I like the plan of salvation that mkes it clear why we are here on earrth and where we are destined to be after this life. One of the things that is most helpfull is the guidance of the Holy Ghost in all aspects of my life. I know that if I Love Christ and apply His atonement in my life and follow his commandments and teachings, His spirit wi;; be with me to guide me and teach me in all things. I know that God lives, and He Gave His son Jesus Christ for us as a gift for our salvation. I know that Joseph Smith truly saw God the Father and Jesus Christ in person. I know that the Priesthood of God was restored and is in force today.

How I live my faith

I enjoy attending church each week where I can associate with others and we can help those who are facing challenges. It is also a time when we take the Sacrament and renew our covenants to take upon us the name of Christ and always remember Him and keep His commandments. I am assigned to help those seeking employment. Whenever anyone becomes aware of an opening, it is sent to the area people who them forward it to those of us in the neighborhoods. We then try to help those seeking employment to find positions that they qualify for. We reach out to all in the neighborhood regardless of religious preferences. We like to spend time as a family doing things together to strengthen then family. We enjoy sports, games, hiking, movies, and sharing newly learned tidbits of knowledge about science and nature and technology and religion with each other.
