Hi I'm Emily

I'm a creative writer. I'm a singer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fourth child in a family of six, but the oldest daughter. I am named after my Grandmother and Mother. I play the piano, the saxophone, and even the recorder. I love to sing. I attend Brigham Young University-Idaho and am majoring in Elementary Education. I would love to be a teacher, or maybe even an elementary librarian! I love playing games with my family and play a mean game of Quiddler. I'm a dog lover. I wouldn't label my room clean by any means, but I wouldn't call it messy....but I love my family and life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the faith; my parents are both members, and actually both served as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints before meeting each other and getting married. I was raised in the church, but now as I've grown to be an independent college student, it was my decision to go on to a church college. I love the comfort that the gospel brings in my life and the family values that are a part of me. There is always a different lesson that I can take from the Book of Mormon and the teachings of the prophets. I love that we have modern day revelation that is prevalent to our day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating actively in my church callings, both at home and up at school. I make sure that my language and dress reflect the respect that I hold for myself and the body that the Lord has provided. I try to treat those around me as the children of God that they are, and view them as such. I believe that as we view people through the eyes of our Savior, then our actions towards them will reflect our love for them and for Christ.
