Hi I'm Lonn

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Shelley, Idaho. I was fortunate to grow up with a mom, dad and older brother.

About Me

I am fortunate that I married a wonderful woman and that we have been marries for 39 years. We have 4 daughters, all off whome are married, and 12 (soon to be 14) grandchildren. I have a geat job in the natural foods industry which allows me to travel the United States and see/experience the many different places and people. My free time passion is sports and gardening. My health recently has cut the participarton in sports but has given me additional time to work in our garden. I focus on tomatoes, herbs, and grapes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel principles taught in the Church are rather simple and a great asset in my life. Follow the example of Christ. He set the example for all to follow. In doing so I have found great comfort. The burdens of the world are easier to shoulder. The trials easier to work through. The duties of parenthood easier to execute. I have heard many times "why attend a church that holds you back and keeps you from having fun". To them I just say "life is like a kite. If the string breaks, the string that holds us up, we are free to blow in the wind. Unable to control where we are going or when we will get there."

How I live my faith

I have had numerious opportunites to serve in the church and the community. It may be working with our childrens school and their activities, being a Boy Scout leader, or serving the members of the congregaton. There are many ways to serve in the community and in the Church. I have learned thsat joy comes from serving. Another way that I live my faith is by sharing the gospel with others. There are so many people that are seeking some guidance in their lives and I am always happy to share my testimony with them.
