Natalie Jorgensen: Mormon.

Hi I'm Natalie Jorgensen

About Me

I'm married to my best friend. We love watching football and get a little heated at times over our favorite teams! I'm a Mom of 3 boys. They are all very involved in sports and music. I have the opportunity to work at the elementary school as an aide on occasion. I love being with my children and watching them grow! I have a home based business, where we help people preserve their memories in a storybook. I love photographing my kids, their activities and anything else I can take pictures of! I enjoy singing since I grew up singing with my family. There is nothing like learning a beautiful song and sharing with others! I had an opportunity to work as a nanny for 2 years with a wonderful family. I learned a great deal about the world during that time!

Why I am a Mormon

I experienced a change of heart when I was 15 years old. Because of my Mother and her faithfulness; Missionaries came to our home and taught me the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have been blessed beyond measure. I have see God work miracles in my life. I chose to serve a church mission to Toronto, Canada where I was able to see these miracles come to pass. I understand the magnitude of what Christ, our Savior did for us in the Garden of Gethsemane. He made it possible for me to live again with my Father in Heaven. I love the foundation that this gospel gives to us. My children have a solid base in Christ and know where they are going in their lives.

Personal Stories

What have you done successfully to shield your family from unwanted influences?

My children are between the ages of 8 and 13. My husband and I are aware that their are many influences we have yet to encounter. This is why we want to share what we are teaching them with you. We have been diligent in teaching them that our family is forever. That through the Atonement of Christ, we are giving the opportunity to return to Heavenly Father, we even have the ability to repent of our sins. He has done this for us! We have taught our children that communication with their parents is key in being able to work out their difficulties. We have always been open and honest with our boys, giving them the tools they need and the guidance to live in today's world. We pray together, read our scriptures together and we have a family night where we give the children an opportunity to teach us. We participate in sports together, in music together and have made it a priority that each of us supports the others in all they do. We attend church meetings each Sunday together to share in the message of Jesus Christ our Savior. We serve in our community and in our church, teaching our children the importance of loving one another and giving back to those around us. We have curfews and rules when it comes to media influences. The most important thing we have done to shield our children from unwanted influences is to give them a secure environment where they know they are safe. They know they can share their thoughts and feelings. They have given them a solid foundation in Jesus Christ and in his gospel.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to work with others in my church callings. Most of my adult life has been spent in the Primary Organization. This organization consists of children from the ages of 18 months to 11 years. We teach the scriptures and the words of the prophets to these children. We teach them to sing, to communicate with others, to understand what faith is and most importantly that they have a Heavenly Father who adores them. I have had the opportunity to share my talent in music with others by participating in choirs and special music programs. I am now working with the youth of our congregation. I specifically have the privilege to work with the 12-13 year old girls. These young ladies are amazing! Every week, I look forward to hearing their experiences, sharing their passions and teaching them about our Savior.
