Hi I'm Alan

I live in Greeley, CO. I love to fly fish and be with my family. I'm a mormon

About Me

I come from a large family. I have five brothers and 4 sisters and I am right in the middle of all of them. My parents are divorced and have been since I was three years old. My brothers and sisters and I relied a lot on each other to make it through our growing up years. Currently I live with my family in Greeley, CO. I am a banker during the day and love to be with my girls the rest of the time. I have one daughter Elsie and a beautiful wife Ally. Thinking of them gives me the drive to do whatever is asked of me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptised a member of the church when I was 8, but from 9-15 I didn't have much involvement with the church. I started hanging out with the wrong friends and getting involved with things that in the back of my mind I knew were wrong. I had fantastic grandparents that stuck by me during those years though and always incouraged me to do my best. One night while I was lying in bed I started thinking about the things that I had done wrong and started to feel guilty that I had went against the things that I had been taught. I decided to write a letter to god to ask him forgiveness and I put it under my pillow. That night I had a dream that I needed to talk with my bishop ( a leader in my church). When I went to his office and during our conversation I felt an overwheling feeling that god loves me and that he cares about me. I felt for the first time in my life that everything that I had been taught was true, and I still know that today. I know that we can be forgiven of our sins. I know that Christ is my brother and that he wants me to suceed and be my best me. I love Christ very much for what he has done for me. I am who I am today because of my belief in him and because I have chosen to live my life as closely like his as I can.

How I live my faith

I try everyday to watch out for other people and their needs and try to help if I can. I try to always stop and help if people are having car trouble. I help people move into our out of their homes. I visit people in my neighborhood and see how they are doing and offer help. I also work on improving myself spiritually everyday by reading from the scriptures and praying to try and receive help for each day.
