Hi I'm Seth

I'm from Washington, and I'm excited for the life ahead of me.

About Me

I will be leaving soon to be a missionary in San Diego, California, I play the piano, and am an Elementary Education major. I love to be outside and love where I live. I live in a beautiful state, and I think we live in an incredible world. We have so many chances to learn and develop new talents, and I have deep gratitude for the opportunities I have been given.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I live the teachings of Jesus Christ, I can have peace, even when life gets crazy. I have found that as I follow the example of Jesus as well as the many good men and women of the scriptures, I am happier than when I try to find joy on my own. This gospel brings me comfort and hope when I am discouraged. I know that learning and living the teachings of Jesus is more valuable than anything else I do and that the teachings of my church will prepare me to return to live with my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

God wants us to have happy lives, and so I do my best to keep a smile on my face, and help others be happy. I can play the piano and the organ, and I often get the chance to accompany the congregation when we sing hymns. When I was younger I was nervous to play in church, and I often didn’t want to, but I have found great growth and happiness when I am willing to serve in whatever ways I can. I love the scriptures, and I’m so grateful that God is willing to give us His words to be a compass for us. Because I have read them and prayed about them, over time, I have come to know that they are true. When I read the scriptures, and when I am willing to act on what I learn from them, God blesses me with happiness and direction in my life. I have learned to trust that when God says something is right, it is right.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are sacred places of worship where we are able to make covenants with God and to feel His spirit. In Temples we are able to receive the ordinances that will allow our families to be together forever and help us become more like our Heavenly Father. They are a place of spirutal refuge and help us to feel the love of God. Show more Show less
