Hi I'm Emily

I have 3 adorable children. I am a registered nurse. I love to play volleyball and run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys and 1 girl. I love watching them learn and grow. I volunteer at their school frequently. I also enjoy running. I have run a few half marathons. I also love playing volleyball, but unfortunately don't get to do that very often. Another of my hobbies are scrap booking and blogging. I am also a bit of a neat freak, so those things usually only get done after all my housework is done, which isn't very often either. Another of my loves is going boating. My family has recently learned to wake surf, and it is tons of fun! I have a wonderful husband who adores me and takes very good care of me. I am incredibly blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't have an incredible faith building story about when I knew the church was true, I just can't remember a time when I didn't know that it was true. I have known since I was a small child that Jesus lives and knows and loves me personally. I know that I am a child of God and that he has a plan for me. I love that I know why I am here and what my purpose for being here is. I know that I am here to learn and grow and gain a testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ. I know that if I follow the teachings of Jesus that I can return to live with him again someday. I know also that if I obey His commandments that I can live with my family forever. I know that we have a prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson. I know that he speaks with our Heavenly Father and Jesus and that he tells us what They would have us do. I am so grateful for this knowledge. It brings great joy and comfort to my life.

How I live my faith

Because of the things I believe, I chose to live my life in a certain way. I go to church every Sunday and try to not participate in activities that are not appropriate for Sunday, like shopping and athletic events. I also try to treat others like the Savior would. I try to be kind and see the best in others. I also get the opportunity to help organize a girls camp for girls ages 12-18 in my area. At this camp the girls learn about Jesus and also learn other practical skills that are necessary for daily living. I love to help and serve others.
