I am a mother of four children. I am married to a police officer. I am a cook. I love food network and trying new recipes. I love to eat. I am a decorator. I love decorating my home, changing up pillows on my furniture and changing the colors of the walls. I love to re-arrange things to make a room feel fresh and new. I am a working mother. I work from home. I am a medical biller and medical transcriptionist. I enjoy sewing projects when I have time. I love to try re-creating things I see. I can't follow a pattern to save my life, I just create. I love to exercise. I wake up before the sun on weekdays to stay in shape. It definitely helps my mood and provides the strength and energy I need to keep up with my kids. I love the mountains. That is my paradise. I enjoy getaways to the family cabin to unwind from the chaos of daily life. I love music. I play the piano and played the violin for 7 years. I love blogging. I keep a family blog to journal our life, which I print yearly as a book. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. My faith has made me who I am today. I have gained confidence and self-worth as well as a deeper understanding of my purpose on this earth. I have the comfort of knowing that my father in heaven loves me and that he sent his son to atone for my sins. I have the savior to comfort me and help me through my struggles. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me the desire to be better, to strive for greater things. I often wonder where I would be and what my life would be like if I had not had the principles of the gospel to encourage me to do good, to be good and to seek good. Being Mormon is not just a religion, it is a lifestyle, a choice to seek after the best things, to look for the good in others, to find the good in ourselves. I have the light of Christ, the knowledge of the plan of happiness and the the hope that one day I will dwell with my Heavenly Father. That is what gets me through the day. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my Sunday meetings each week.
