Hi I'm Ken Kluza

I'm a Mormon. I am a convert to the church. I know this is the only true church upon the earth.

About Me

I am married and a father of 2 girls and a boy. I grew up in Fond du Lac WI and joined the Ar Force right out of High School. I retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service including a stint in Afghanistan. I am currently an Air Force Civilian working in Human Resources. I have a passion for the outdoors. I love to hunt for deer and elk with a longbow. I am a Boy Scout leader and mentor to youth in my Ward.

Why I am a Mormon

I am proud to be a Mormon. I was Roman Catholic growing up and did not feel the feelings I do as a Mormon. When I was about 16 years old I wanted to become a Priest and my father was very down on it. I met my wife about a month after I arrived at my first duty station at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls MT. She was a Mormon. I knew there was something special about her. I fell in love with my wife, Montana and started to get to know more about the church. I told my wife that I would like to take the discussions and did. I had sister missionaries teach me. I remember one of the sisters name was Sister Lilomayava. I started reading the Book of Mormon and took all of the discussions. I prayed about the Book of Mormon/Joseph Smith and received a witness by the Holy Ghost that it is true. I had a good feeling in my heart. I pondered everything and decided that it was the right thing to do so I decided to get baptized. I was baptized by the Stake President who live across the street from me. I am grateful to my wife and the sister missionaries as it the greatest thing to happen to me. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is the true church upon the earth, It has the same make up as the church of old with a Prophet who is the representative of Jesus Christ and 12 apostles. It was no coincidence that I hold the priesthood. I always wanted to hold the Priesthood of God. I am greatful for the Plan of Salvation, the opportunity to be with my family forever. My oldest daughter died at the age of 5 due to a Metabolic disorder and I know that I will have the opportunity to raise and live with her again if I remain worthy by following the commandments and enduring to the end. I know that God is our eternal Father and Jesus is his son and our brother who atoned for our sins. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet who restored the true church upon this earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true and is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the commandments, living the gospel standards and fulfilling my Priesthood duties. My callings are first as a Husband, father, and I work with Young Men to prepare them to become missionaries and men of the Priesthood. I am a Scout leader for youth 14 and 15 years old. I also teach them gospel principles on Sunday. I am also a home teacher. I have stewardship over 4 families. I ensure they have all the necessities of life and teach them a message from the First Presidency at least once a month. I also ensure they are living the gospel and are being taught gospel principles within the home. I give them Priesthood blessing when they are sick or afflicted or need some comfort or help. As part of our troop we clean up part of a road as service project. We have other service projects that we do throughout the year. The Young men plan activites and campouts and we have a night each week we meet and do an activity with scouting or a fun spiritual activity. I try to be a positive influence in the community by setting an eample to those I come in contact with.
