Hi I'm Lindsay

I am a mother, wife, college graduate. I love sports and have a passion for music.

About Me

I grew up Idaho and Nevada, but have been privileged to live in many different places. I am a 25 yr old girl who loves sports and music. I grew up singing and playing the piano as well as the violin (which I need to start practicing again). I went to Southern Virginia University to play softball after high school where I played all four years and graduated with a degree in Business Management and Leadership. I took a little break during my time there to serve a mission for the church in Portugal, where I learned to love the Portuguese people and their culture. Soon after I returned, I met my husband back at SVU where he played football. We were married in the St. George, UT temple in Dec 2009. Right now we currently reside in Spokane, WA where he is attending dental school through the University of Washington. I am a house wife and we are expecting our first child, a little girl, to come any day as I am a little over 38 weeks pregnant. I can't wait for motherhood. It's always been my goal to get an education just to have, but my main goal has always been to be a good mother and wife. It's the most important thing a woman can be. I can't wait for my husband and I to start this next chapter in our lives. I'm grateful to have the gospel in my life to help me become the person I want to be.

Why I am a Mormon

Whether a person grew up in the LDS church or not, there always comes a time when he/she needs to choose if they want to continue being a member or not. I am a Mormon because I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true, which in turn means the church is true. I received my answer and know without a doubt that it is all true and it was the best decision for me. The LDS gospel brings me the piece of mind I need in such a troubled world. I know that being grounded with these beliefs helps me keep perspective on what is and what isn't important to me and to the Lord. He does have a plan for every one of us and through prayer, He will guide us. I know I can receive comfort through reading His holy scriptures and most importantly to me, I know I can be with my family for eternity, not just this life. I know we can receive forgiveness, peace, comfort and more through the atonement of Jesus Christ. He suffered all so that He can help us through our trials and more importantly help us forgive and receive forgiveness. In a world where all we really here about through the media is negative, the Gospel allows me to see the positive and enjoy life to it's fullest.

How I live my faith

I accept any assignment I am asked to receive in the church, whether it means teaching Sunday school to any age group or just greeting people at the door. My last calling was to teach Sunday school to all the adults, and I loved it. I also participate in visiting teaching, which is an assignment given to make sure a few women in the ward are doing well and receive visits or a phone call monthly. I love how interactive the church is and how we all learn from each other. Nobody is paid, it's all voluntary. AND, it's a lot of fun.
