Hi I'm Brenda

I'm a Mormon. I am so thankful to be a member of what I know to be Christ's TRUE church.

About Me

I am divorced and have two children, ages 17 and 13. I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints over twenty years and am still learning and growing in the gospel. I love to do counted cross-stitching, reading and traveling, especially visiting family members. My kids keep me busy with activities and school and I would have it no other way. I know that I lived before coming to the earth and am looking forward to returning to be with God, my Father in Heaven. My life on this earth is my time to prove I can have faith in Heavenly Father and obey His commandments by following the example Jesus has set for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because one day some young ladies knocked on my door and wanted to tell me about their friend, Jesus Christ. I invited them to come in, studied with them over a period of about six weeks. I prayed about the Book of Mormon and the things we talked about. Heavenly Father let me know the Book of Mormon was true and also the principles we discussed were true. I made the decision that I would join this church and felt very sure it was the right thing to do. I knew this was Christ's true church. It is set up and run just as Christ set up the church when He was living here on the earth. We have a living prophet, President Thomas S Monson. I know he is a true prophet of Christ because I have prayed about it. I know that Christ atoned for my sins and because of that, I can be forgiven of them when I repent. Being LDS has been the best dicision of my life. It affects the way I think of and react to people in that I know that each person is my brother or sister. I want them all to know of the beautiful gospel of Jesus Christ as I do so they too can have the understanding and take part in the joy and happiness of living it.

How I live my faith

I am active in the church. I have taught classes in sunday school for children of various ages from three to twelve years old at different times. I have been in leadership positions of the women's group of the church and also have been a teacher at various times for the women's group. I am active in my community with fundraisers and caring for my friends and neighbors when in need. Heavenly Father has blessed me with a wonderful family and I receive great joy from them. My household family and I spend time daily in prayer and scripture study. We also have weekly family time together where we will have a scripture lesson and sometimes a game or do some fun activity together as a family.
