Hi I'm Tracy

I'm a Mormon. I am convert to the church. I joined31 years ago. I am a preschool teacher, a wife and mother. I live in Arizona.

About Me

I began searching for the gospel at the age of 16 when my best friend from high school started talking about the LDS church. She took me to some church dances and gave me my first Book of Mormon. I was not allowed to be baptized until I was 18 years old. It seemed like a long two year wait, but one worth waiting for. I married a year after my baptism in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. We are blessed with three children. I have been a nanny and then went to work as a preschool teacher and a water aerobics instructor. My hobbies are interior decorating, music and antique shopping.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I went to church on Christmas and Easter. There wasn't any religious foundation for me to follow. When my best friend from high school gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon, I knew that I found what I had been searching for. My family was so against my joining the LDS church. I was given an ultimatum; church or family. This was a decision that I couldn't make alone. I knelt by my bedside and asked Heavenly Father for help. That help came to me in a scripture. I was baptized a month later. Even though I was disowned by my family I knew I wasn't alone. My Savior was there every step of the way. I married my husband in the temple a year after my baptism and we have been blessed with three children. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints answers all my questions about where I came from, Where am I going. Having faith in my Savior Jesus Christ gives me strength to overcome any obstacle in my way. I know I will always have trials, but having the faith in my Savior gives me the comfort to persevere. My life has been truly blessed!

How I live my faith

I have had many callings in the church. I have taught children ages 3-11 in Sunday School and I have taught the women in Sunday School as well. I make monthly visits as a visit teacher to three other ladies. I organized a Ladies Night Out for all the "Empty Nesters" in our ward. We meet once a month and celebrate birthdays for that month. I am very active in the community cleaning up local parks, helping the young men acheive their Eagle Scout. I have helped with humanatarian projects by making quilts, back to school bags, and feeding the hungry. When I am feeling down, I try to find someone to serve. For we read that when you're in the service of your fellow man, you're in the service of your God.
