Hi I'm Jodi

I am a wife and the mother to 4 children. I am an RN teaching natural medicine. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Arizona my entire life. I married my sweetheart 18 years ago and we are the proud parents of 4 beautiful children. I graduated from college with a Nursing degree. After working in hospitals for years and not getting the satisfaction of helping people that I craved I changed my focus to disease prevention instead of symptom treatment. I now teach classes about natural medicine and how we can reinvent our healthcare. This is very rewarding to me and I feel it fits right in with my belief that this earth and everything on/in it was given to us for our benefit from a loving God who knows and loves us. I love spending time with my family. We love the outdoors: camping, quad riding, horseback riding, the beach, the forests. We enjoy traveling and hope to see more of this beautiful Earth. I love to read good books. I love to sing with my kids and I play the violin.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in God, the eternal Father and in His son, Jesus Christ. I was raised by two wonderful parents who believed this also. I can remember going to church as a little girl and loving to sing in Primary. I have beautiful memories of how I felt love and peace while attending church and in our home. As I grew older I understood the importance of high standards and making choices that would not bring me sadness and grief. I tried to learn from other's mistakes. Of course, I still made my own, everyone does, but that is why the love of the Savior is so great - we can take advantage of His atoning sacrifice and be made whole again. Now, as a wife and mother it is important to me that my children know right from wrong. It is important that they know they are loved and have a divine connection to our Father in Heaven. He loves us and knows us. He wants us to be happy- within the boundaries He has set for us. Those boundaries do not limit us, but give us freedom to keep choosing. Knowing that we can live with Him again and the knowledge that we can be an eternal family because of the sealing powers of the temple brings peace to my soul. I love the opportunities that have been given me because of my membership in His church. Most of the opportunities to serve, to teach, the lessons I have learned, and the friendships I have forged are all because of the love I have for my Savior, Jesus Christ and His love for me.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve over the years. I have served with the young children, in leadership positions, with the women, and on committees to plan social events. I have loved all of these opportunities to learn and grow both in knowledge and spiritually. Sometimes we are asked to do things that we don't know how and we have to rely on our faith that the Lord knows we are capable and He will help us if we are willing to learn. I currently work in the Library on Sundays. I enjoy seeing the young people and the teachers come in for supplies to help them teach and learn better. I love visiting with my neighbors and caring for the sick or helping with children when needed. I love sharing my knowledge of the Gospel with others. I love to read my scriptures and words from the prophet and other general leaders of the church. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I can always find a correlation to my life in the scriptures and He was the perfect example of how we should act and respond to the situations life throws at us. There is peace in knowing that He is in charge and that He loves us and wants us to be happy. He doesn't punish us. We have negative consequences to poor choices, but we have positive consequences to good choices. Having faith that He will take care of us makes it easy to see the good in all that we do and are faced with each day.
