Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon – because I believe in God, I want to know the truth about him. Joseph Smith inquired of the Lord, while praying he was visited by two heavenly beings, one calling him by name, “Joseph, this is my beloved Son, hear Him.” God and His son Jesus Christ appeared once again to a prophet in this the latter days as two separate and distinct beings. Did they appear to Joseph? Don’t ask just anyone, not even your minister – he doesn’t know. Ask someone that was there. If you really believe in God ask Him in the name of Christ if this is not true – ask with a sincere heart with real intent having faith in Christ and he will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost. I believe that God speaks through his prophets today the same as he did to those in the Bible. You can also know that he does.
