Hi I'm Sharla

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in a small town in AZ. I am a mother of 3 girls. I love to play sports and take care of my family.

About Me

I grew up in a large family of 8 children and was blessed with a wonderful heritage of good parents. I grew up in a small town in Arizona where my graduating class was only 35 students. I now live in a large city and miss the home town feel of where I grew up. I was married at 19 and now am a stay at home mom of 2 girls and another girl on the way! I love being a mom and find enjoyment in teaching my children to be kind and choose the right. I love education and hope to return to college and get my degree. I enjoy playing sports especially volleyball when I get the chance. I may be kind of nerdy because I love to clip coupons every month to see how much money I can save. I enjoy reading all sorts of books and literature. I eat way too many sweets and am afraid I just may become a diabetic.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was baptized at 8 years old and I gained my testimony early in life. I feel very blessed to have had good parents to teach me correct principles. I am a Mormon because I know that this is the only true church on the face of the earth. It was restored by Joseph Smith in 1836. He did see God the Father and his son Jesus Christ and he did restore the same church that was on the earth when Jesus Christ lived on the earth. I know this to be true through the Holy Ghost bearing witness to me. I am a Mormon because there is a prophet President Thomas S. Monson and apostles on the earth today who lead and direct us. They give us continued revelation that Heavenly Father wants all his children to know. I know this to be the truth. I know that I am a daughter of God and he wants me to be happy and he loves me. He knows who I am personally and has a plan for me. I am very blessed to have this knowledge and hope to somehow share with others the happiness and peace that the Church of Jesus Christ can bring into their lives.

How I live my faith

When I was baptized I made a promise to my Heavenly Father to take upon myself the name of Jesus Christ. That means that I do all that I can to please my Heavenly Father in all of my actions. I live my faith by being obedient to Heavenly Father's commandments in their exactness. I pray for the help to strive for this everyday. I try to be on the look out for those in need and give service in ways that I can. I visit teach women in our ward on a monthly basis that I may know of their needs and assist when I can. I accept any calling or assignment that is given to me by our bishop, because I know that when I serve others, I am serving my Heavenly Father. I try to be an example by the things that I say and the things that I do so others around me will know that I am a follower of Jesus Christ.
