Hi I'm Russell

I love spending time with my family. I love to play golf, read and watch sports. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Mesa Arizona. My family has been here since the late 1800's and I am proud of my heritage. My family and I now live in Gilbert, AZ and love it! I am a small business owner working with my father and I like to meet and get to know people. I love to golf! I love to read and I love sports. Most of all I love to be with my wife and children.

Why I am a Mormon

If you had asked me when I was 14 I would have told you because my family is. However as I grew older that changed. I tried very hard to find lasting happiness and peace through the world but it never worked. I am a Mormon because the gospel brings me peace and happiness and the lasting peace and happiness the gospel brings is available to all. The Book of Mormon has given me so much guidance and answers to questions I have had about who I am and what is the plan for me.The plan of our Heavenly Father brings true happiness to us. The Sacrifice of my elder brother Jesus Christ and the role he plays in my life helps me to want make correct decisions and choices daily. I may slip and fall many times but the knowledge of the miracle of forgiveness and the chance to repent daily because of Christ brings true happiness to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do my best daily.I currently serve the Lord in my ward as a missionary. I really enjoy being a ward missionary and sharing the good news of the gospel to others. I know without a doubt I am far from perfect but I try to do my best every single day. I know that through service to others I can grow closer to my Father in Heaven and become more Christlike. I also attend my church services every week and this helps me stay focused on the gospel and the things that really matter in life.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Through my attendance of the Addiction Recovery Program sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have met and seen others not of my faith learn about addiction and grow to overcome their own addictions through a Christ centered life. To see friendships grow in a program that truly is about helping each other overcome our weaknesses is a humbling blessing in my life! It's truly a program open to all of any faith with a desire to overcome addictions and to learn to grow closer to our savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
