Hi I'm Dave

I'm a husband, a father of two, and I have been a member of the LDS Church all my life.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California on the beach where I enjoyed scuba diving and sailing as a teenager. Upon graduating high school I attended college and graduated with a degree in accounting. I'm now a CPA. I served a mission for the LDS Church at age 19 in Copenhagen Denmark. It was a wonderful opportunity to grow and serve others. I'm gratefull for that life changing experience. Upon returning, I married and now have two daughters. I currently work for a large global company which gives me the opportunity to travel all over the world. I've been to over 20 countries so far. I really enjoy traveling and seeing the world. When I have free time, I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, boating and spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS Church where I was taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. However, there comes a point in everyone's life where they question what they have been taught. When I was getting ready to leave on my two year mission for the LDS Church in Copenhagen, Denmark, I needed to be sure of my faith. I couldn't serve unless I was absolutely sure what I was doing was right. I read and studied the Book of Mormon, and I prayed to know if it was true. I received a personal witness that it is true, and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is real. That experience became an anchor for me in my faith. It allowed me to serve as a missionary knowning that what I was doing was the will of God. My faith has only grown and become stronger with time.

How I live my faith

My wife and I are very active in our local LDS church (called a "Ward") here in Arizona. I have had many different opportunities to volunteer my time for my faith. I've worked with our youth, managed the Ward's finances, and held various leadership positions. My wife has had just as many opportunities to serve and currently is in a leadership position over our youth program.
