Hi I'm Janea

I'm a full time mother of three and a part time lunch lady at an elementary school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to three wonderful children. I graduated from college 3 days before the birth of my first child. I recently went back to work as a lunch lady at my children's school. I love being able to work and still be home with my children when they are home from school. I love reading and baking. I also love going on walks, anywhere and everywhere!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up attending this church. I always felt that what I was learning was true. I knew that my Savior loved me. When I went away to college, I started to think that I had never had any big experiences that proved to me that the gospel of Jesus Christ was true. I began really studying the scriptures and praying and pleading with the Lord to let me know that it was true. I asked if Joseph Smith was a prophet who really translated the Book of Mormon. For many days, I felt that my prayers weren't being answered. One evening while praying, I was so frustrated and ready to give up when my heart began to pound and I could feel my Savior's love. I knew that I did not need any big spiritual experiences to gain a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ because I already knew that it was true. I am thankful everyday for the love of God in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to live my beliefs everyday. I gain great joy volunteering at the school. The kids are such bright rays of sunshine. For 3 years I worked with the Wolf Scouts in the Cub Scout organization. Those 8 year old boys are full of energy and life. I really loved working with them. Recently I began teaching the 16 and 17 young women on Sundays and participate in activities with them on Wednesdays. I am in awe as I look at these young women who are so full of faith and courage to live with integrity in a world that seems to be lacking moral standards. I like to help others in any way I can, like bringing meals to the sick, helping with moves and cleaning apartments, or watching other's children when they are in need. Everyday I read my scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father. I just finished reading the Old Testament for the first time. I loved that experience! I read the Book of Mormon everyday and gain great strength from this act. Other ways I live my faith include driving my teenager to early morning religion class, going to church every Sunday, paying my tithing and going to the temple. These acts really help me feel the love the the Lord in my life.
