Hi I'm Chad

I grew up in AZ. I am a husband, father, construction manager and a business owner. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been in construction for 10 years. I enjoy camping with my family. I love to hike to the most remote areas possible and be totally immersed in nature. One of my favorite things to do is sit at a restaurant with friends and laugh until they throw us out. I love food of all types and will try anything once. I secretly wish I had been a chef. I love to cook for my family and friends. I also love to teach people how to do things that I am good at. I like teaching a skill that I know will be helpful for a life time. I also secretly want to be a trade or skills trainer. Maybe I should be a training chef.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of what I get out of the doctrines of the church. I feel a confirmation in my mind and to my spirit when true principles are taught. I feel this as I live and act on the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because the principles challenge and help me to be a better person. I am a better husband to my wife, father to my children and asset to my company because of what I learn in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I have had spritual experiences that allow me to gain confirmations that the teachings of the church are true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by enhancing the lives of those around me in positive ways. I help young men become better young adults. I help boy scouts become eagle scouts. I teach the doctrines of Christ and the principles of the gospel that have proven to enhance lives in any area they are taught.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Chad
Church welfare is designed to lift those that have stumbled, care for those that are poor or needy, and restore self-reliance. This may mean temporary assistance with food, finances and other physical needs. The welfare system is based on the principle of work. All people should work for what they have. Whenever possible, beneficiaries of the welfare system are encouraged to do what they can to "give back" to those that may need assistance by looking for opportunities to give service. The welfare system is a physical maifestation of obedience to the 2 great commandments to love God and love thy neighbor. By caring for God's children, we are showing our love for God. Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Chad
This is Christ's church and he ultimately selects his prophet. This is done in an orderly and consistent manner. The prophet of the church is the senior apostle of the church. Not senior in age, but senior in number of years as an apostle. It is never a secret who the next prophet will be since most are apostles for many years before being placed into the highest religious office. There are no votes, no campaigning or confusion. Christ prepares men long before they are called and he does all things in order. Show more Show less
