Hi I'm Paije

I'm passionate about life, my family, travelling, playing soccer, and gardening. I love to laugh and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and stay-at-home mother of 4 daughters. I met my husband on a blind date while attending BYU-Idaho ! I loved growing up in the Pacific NW and spent a lot of time outdoors when I was young. I still love the outdoors and enjoy gardening. (oddly enough since I detest most vegetables!) I am a picky eater but love to cook and bake. I love to not only watch my kids' activities, but am passionate about playing sports myself, especially soccer! Next to my husband, my sister is my best friend and we play together on a women's competitive soccer team. I have always been a little bit of a tomboy and know how to do a lot of things generally attributed to guys. I even operate heavy equipment for my Dad's construction company every summer for a few weeks, just for fun! Travelling abroad to new places is one of my favorite things to do and in 2007 I met one of my lifelong goals to see the pyramids of Egypt.....amazing! I still have a long list of places I'd still like to visit!

Why I am a Mormon

Both sets of my grandparents joined the church while their children were young. My parents were both raised in LDS homes and they, in turn, raised me and my siblings as active members of our faith. The examples and teachings of my parents and grandparents gave me a stable home life and foundational principles to guide my life with. I am blessed to have very close relationships with my family members. My husband and I have chosen to raise our children as active members of our church as well. We believe that family relationships can be continued after death, this knowledge brings me peace and comfort even during times of loss. Living the gospel and teachings of Jesus Christ has been the biggest blessing in my life. I try every day to pattern my life after my Savior's. Despite the normal, everyday difficulties that we all face, my life feels abundant, fulfilling and meaningful.

How I live my faith

In 2007 we had a terrible winter storm that caused flooding and a lot of damage to some homes in our area. My husband and I helped to organize over 800 volunteers from our church to assist in flood clean up efforts. It was an incredible experience to work alongside people that I know and many that I didn't, to help our community. Giving service to others make me happy and helps me remember my blessings. I currently teach the adult Sunday School class called Gospel Doctrine. This class helps our members understand the scriptures and the doctrines of our faith and how to apply them to our lives today.
