Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in a large family in California. I enjoy the sunshine.

About Me

I've lived in many different parts of the United States: West Coast, Midwest, and East Coast. I love to visit new places and discover their unique characteristics. I enjoy meeting new people. I'm a wife and a mom. I worked for a few years after graduating from college but now I stay home full time with my son and twin daughters. I cherish the time I have with them. My dad passed away of a heart attack. I miss him terribly. Thank goodness for the gospel and the knowledge I have that I will see him again. This life is not the end. I am grateful for the Lord Jesus Christ who makes it possible for families to be together forever.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom and dad were high school sweethearts. My dad was Mormon, my mom was not. After my dad left on his two year mission to Germany, my mom decided to learn more about the Mormon church and she decided to get baptized. The two of them, married for 36 years, raised our family in the Mormon church. I decided when I was young that I wanted a testimony of the gospel. I read my scriptures and prayed daily to know for myself. Peace came into my heart and mind and I knew my Heavenly Father and His Son knew and loved me. Peaceful feelings have continued to be my lifelong navigator. I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. Like sunshine, the gospel brings warmth to my life.

How I live my faith

Last year I took a group of teenage girls on a weeklong campout. We had a great time hiking, crafting, singing camp songs, and crowding around the tiny fire we managed to build. I most of all enjoyed the quiet times when we shared our gratitude for the Lord and the blessings He has given us. I try to live my faith everyday. I make plenty of mistakes, but the point is to get back up again and try again. The gospel makes me a better person.
