Hi I'm Starr

I grew up in Alaska! I played volleyball in college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 2! I have a 4 year old boy and a almost 2 year old little girl. I've been married to the man of my dreams for over 5 years now. I grew up in Alaska and played volleyball at UAA for 4 years and majored in Psychology. I love raising our little family and enjoy running, reading, crafting, and always learning something new! I love my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I turned 8 years old, but I truly believe we are all converts to the gospel. Growing up I visited other churches with friends and was always open to understanding and listening to their beliefs, but I never felt the spirit witness to me that what they were teaching was the true church of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I have felt the overwhelming power of my Savior and Heavenly Father witness to me that this church is TRUE! I feel it every day when I pray, read my scriptures, listen to uplifting music, and read talks by our general authorities.

How I live my faith

The church definitely makes it possible for me to learn and grow by the callings I've been given. I have had the opportunity to serve in our Young Women programs for many years; teaching lessons on Sundays, planning activities during the week, as well as attending Girls Camp during the summer. I love serving with the girls! They are full of energy and often times just beginning to feel our Savior's hand in their lives. I love being a part of that! We also have the opportunity to be a visiting teacher to other women in our wards and that is where I have always found the greatest of friends. We've moved around a lot, so making friends is important to me and it's a way to help each other out!
