Hi I'm Robin

I am a stay at home Wife and Mother of 3 children. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to cook and try new recipes, I am learning to quilt. I am in a book group. I love going to lunch with my friends. I love spending time with my husband and children. When my husband and I were married he was not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. We had a great marriage but I always knew I wanted to have a Temple marriage and be sealed for eternity to my family. After 10 years of marriage my husband seriously started to investigate the church. He read and studied and prayed and through the help of many missionaries and church leaders they loved him and taught him the things he wanted to know about the church. He eventually joined the church and we were able to be sealed for time and all eternity in the Temple. I have seen such a wonderful change in our family. We strive to put the Lord first in our lives. We are not perfect and make mistakes every day. But, I can see the many blessings that we now enjoy because of our sealing in the Temple. The gospel brings peace and comfort in my life and I am so grateful for it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but I have gained my own testimony but constant studying. I have seen the hand of our Heavenly Father in my life and have felt my Saviors love many times, I know he answers my prayers and will grant us our righteous desires. I am humbled by the life he has blessed me with. I know that when I live the commandments my life is better. This doesn't mean I don't have any trials, because I do, but I know I am not alone while I face these trials. Heavenly Father is always ready to help me. I feel a such a peace as I strive to live the teachings of the church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading from the scriptures each day alone and with my family. I serve the youth of our church and love being with these fine Young Women. They work so hard on striving to make good decisions and become who Heavenly Fathers wants them to be, they inspire me to do better as well. I serve as a visiting teacher too, and LOVE the sisters who I visit. I have developed relationships with different types of people who have encouraged me to be better in my life. I strive each day to be better than I was the day before. Some days I am better than others. I try not to judge others I know God loves all his children and I strive to see him as he would have me. I love our Savior with all my heart and I want to live a life that is pleasing to him.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Robin
Our son is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ now. He work hard for 3 summers and earned the money needed for his 2 year mission. It was a humbling experience for me to see him work hard and set aside his money to be able to pay for his mission himself. He has only been gone for a few months and he says it is the best decision he has ever made to serve our Savior by teaching others about Him. He considers it an honor to be able to serve a mission.
